This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our website, iOS, or Android mobile applications.

By using HousinGram’s services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information from our users:

• Personal Information

  Covers how you use the app or website including IP addresses, device info, browser types, OS, access times, and pages viewed.

• Location Data
  With your permission, the HousinGram app reads your device’s precise location when you punch in or out, to record where your workday started and ended. If your employer turns on location sharing and you agree in the app, the Android app also collects your location in the background while you are on duty — see “Location while on duty” below. You can turn location off in the app or in your device settings.
  
  

• Transaction Data
  Covers details related to purchases or transactions within the app.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

Location while on duty

Some employers use HousinGram for attendance at offices and construction sites. If your employer turns on location sharing for your team, the HousinGram app for Android shows you a screen explaining it, and nothing is collected unless you tap Agree and turn on and allow location access. On-duty background location sharing is currently available only on Android; the iOS app reads location only when you punch in or out.

When. Once you agree, the app collects your location in the background, even when the app is closed or not in use, but only between your punch-in and punch-out. It pauses during breaks you set in the app, such as Lunch or Tea, and stops when you punch out. A notification shows on your phone the whole time it is collecting.

What. Latitude and longitude, how accurate the reading is, speed and direction of travel, the time, your phone’s battery level, and whether the location appears to come from a location-faking app.

Why. To confirm you are at your office or site for attendance, to show your manager and HR where your team is on a live map, to remind you to set a status if you leave your work location, and to tell your manager if you are away without one.

Who can see it. Your manager, and HR and management of the company that employs you. Each time someone opens your day’s location history, we record who looked and when. We do not use location for advertising and we do not sell it.

How long. Readings are deleted automatically after the period your employer sets, between 7 and 365 days (90 days unless changed). We never keep them longer than 365 days.

Your choices. You can tap Not now instead of agreeing. You can turn sharing off at any time in the app under My HR → Location sharing, or by changing the app’s location permission in your phone’s settings. Your employer may have its own attendance rules about this.

Sharing Your Information

We may share your data with:

• Service Providers:
  Under confidentiality agreements for app functionality, analytics, and more.

  If required by law or to protect user/public safety.
  
  

• Business Transfers:
  In case of mergers, acquisitions, or sales.
  
  

Your employer. If you use HousinGram through your employer, people your employer authorises — such as your manager, HR and management — can see the work information you create in the app. This includes your on-duty location when location sharing is on, as explained in “Location while on duty”.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data Security

We implement encryption and secure servers to safeguard your data. While we follow best practices, no system is 100% secure.

Data Retention

Your data is retained only as long as necessary. You may request deletion by contacting us at support@housingram.com.

On-duty location readings are deleted automatically after the period your employer sets, between 7 and 365 days. We never keep them longer than 365 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update personal information
  
  

• Request deletion of data
  
  

• Opt out of promotional communication

  
  

To ask for your location history to be deleted, write to support@housingram.com from the email address or phone number on your account. Because your employer may need these records for attendance, we may tell them before deleting.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If discovered, such data will be deleted.

Third-Party Links

Our site/app may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be posted with a revised date. Continued use implies agreement.
